APHA Judges Seminar
The American Paint Horse Association (APHA) hosted their annual Judges Academy in Fort Worth, Texas on February 21st -24th 2013.
As an APHA judges applicant this was an incredible 4 days. Which I am confident will increase my judging ability and skills as an exhibitor.
Sessions were presented by current judges and outlined the class procedures, standards and scoring systems. Sessions covered included: roping events, cutting, reining, western pleasure, longe line, hunter under saddle, working hunter, trail and western riding.
A few key messages that were consistent through every presentation were: judge the positive, reward correctness and follow the rule book.
The academy was attended by current judges, applicants and exhibitors looking to increase their knowledge.
We are proud to be a partner of this incredible organization, with a goal to promote and educate.

We learned that Doug can fold himself into a Ford Focus and that their is alot of corn in Nebraska! The entire show was a week long and included fitting, speaking and showmanship competitions to name a few. Click the pictures to view larger.
